Bressler's 11 Questions:

1.  Is the author a man or a woman?

2.  Is the narrator a man or a woman?

3.  What are the roles of women in the text?

4.  Are women the protagonists or secondary
     characters?

5.  Are there any stereotypes of women in the text?

6.  What are the attitudes of the male characters toward

7.  What is the author's attitude toward women?

8.  Can we see an influence of culture on the author's
     attitude?

9.  Do we see feminine imagery in the text?

10. What is the significance of the feminine imagery?

11. Do the women characters speak differently from the
     men?
